I’m Afua and I am a high school senior at the High School For Health Professions and Human Services in the East Village of New York City. I want to be a child psychologist when I grow up due to my love of children, mental health, and medicine. As I’ve gotten more involved within my community in healthcare & activism through volunteering, I’ve gotten inspired to learn more about how voting/politics can bring change to the challenges people face daily. Since I love to write and take photos, I sought out resources like NGP to give me a way to be an advocate in my community & take control of my future.
