Lola Ahmed

My name is Lola Ahmed and I am a senior at the Spence School in New York City. This is my second year as a part of the Next Generation Civic Fellowship and my first year as a Lead Fellow. I am interested in social/environmental justice, and specifically their intersections with both policy and business. As a result, Next Generation Politics has been an extremely rewarding space for me to explore societal issues and continue getting informed about Civics.

Last year, I participated in a Civic Action Project focused on Structural Racism and Anti-Blackness. Through this CAP, my team was able to create open dialogue for other civically engaged young people and develop a curriculum about Structural Racism and Anti-Blackness so that our participants could spread awareness to their communities. As a Senior Lead Fellow, I am excited to have a bigger role in Next Generation Politics and continue to positively contribute to the civic community!
