Kristina Kianovski

My name is Kristina and I am a senior in Staten Island Technical High School. I’m an aspiring lawyer passionate about the feminist movement, human rights and literature. I am grateful to be a part of NGP because it has taught me to listen to the perspective of others and create meaningful change. Being a Lead Fellow allows me to reach far beyond my community and make an impact all over the nation as I work with Fellows from different backgrounds. My time in NGP enriches my studies and introduces me to new culture, political movements, and social justice disparities. My favorite part of NGP are the civic action projects that are organized in the spring semester. I’m a strong believer in reaching those around us through writing in order to create real change in our communities. To support this, I also write for the Next Gen Politics blog. Outside of writing and politics, I am a part of multiple Ukrainian and slavic cultural clubs in my school.
