Georgia Guariglia

My name is Georgia Guariglia and I am a senior at The Spence School in New York City. I began my work with Next Generation Politics as a fellow last year and this summer I participated as a lead fellow. Being a part of the fellowship program has allowed me to explore a vast range of my interests in the world of civics and social change while connecting with a diverse group of peers.

Last year, I was selected to work on a CAP project, conducting research on freedom of speech and protections against censorship. This experience helped make visible the different paths available to turn my interests in civics into action. I am a passionate reader and was inspired to participate in a program at Pen America fueled by my deep concern about book banning and the communities that are most affected.

As a senior lead fellow, I am incredibly excited to gain a deeper perspective on the work that goes into having productive and lively conversations, and continue to learn from this community. I look forward to another round of facilitating and participating in discussions with a new group of passionate fellows!
