Post-Election Analysis: Hyper-partisanship and the Politics of Hate with Alexander Burns of the New York Times

On Nov 11, 2018 – 5 days after the Nov 6 midterm elections – we were thrilled to be joined for post-election analysis by Alexander Burns. Burns is a national political correspondent for The New York Times, covering elections and political power across the country. After the keynote, Civic Fellows broke into small deliberation groups to grapple with some of the key trends from the election and recent years: hyper-partisanship, extremism, and the politics of hate, using this discussion framework.

After the Forum, four of our Civic Fellows engaged in a fascinating and reflective conversation about these issues.
