Amelis Gonzalez is a proud Cuban-American. She is currently a sophomore in John A. Ferguson Sr. High School in Miami, Florida. She enjoys reading, dancing, and cooking. She wants to bring awareness of problems in our society. She works as a blog writer and Round Table podcast editor with Next Generation Politics. She also works with Luisa Santos, a Miami Dade County school board member, to help bring change to students around her district. Her goal is to help young adults, like her, grow as individuals.
